What is Neds Corner Station

Neds Corner Station is a remote, 30,000 hectare conservation reserve located in between the Murray River and Murray-Sunset National Park, approximately 85km west of Mildura in north-west Victoria. The property is owned by Trust for Nature and co-managed with the FPMMAC. FPMMAC are the R

Registered Aboriginal Party for the area in north-west Victoria that includes Neds Corner Station.

The property is part of the National Reserve System.  Since 2002 Trust for Nature have been working to restore the landscape on the property. The Station is a safe-haven for threatened species of flora and fauna and has significant historical and ongoing cultural importance for its Traditional Owners.

What is the project?

Trust for Nature has committed to transferring the ownership of the property to FPMMAC by February 2024. Arup has been engaged to undertake stakeholder and community consultation on behalf of the FPMMAC to understand the appetite for introducing new tourism opportunities that are consistent with the conservation and cultural values and requirements of the site (such as biocultural tourism). Through this process, FPMMAC will hope to determine the thoughts and opinions on tourism for the property.
